Below are listed the soldiers who we have found that have Wickford or Runwell connections. Many of them do not feature on the actual memorial and it’s not our intention to try and add them. This is as some families did not want them included, whilst some are commemorated on other town and village memorials to where they had moved, sadly others appear to be either oversights or simply that there were no relatives left living locally to subscribe them.

All these names are included in 'Wickford's Heroes' - Roll of Honour with pictures and more biographical details. After the project's completed we will add all the details to this page to allow future researchers and family members access to all that we have found. We are however always looking for pictures or details on any of the men and women listed or indeed others that we have missed.

Please, if you do have a picture or story about any of these brave people send it to us as we will happily add it to this online record.
